The National Cable and Telecommunications Association annual convention, The Cable Show '09, held at the Washington Convention Center April 1-3, 2009. At various times participants at this meeting of cable companies, programmers, and technology providers were interviewed about industry issues.

Philippe Dauman, chief executive officer of Viacom, talked about the future of his business plus his recent discussion with lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

Amy Tykeson, president and chief executive officer of BendBroadband in Bend, Oregon, talked about the challenges of providing video, Internet and digital telephone services to Central Oregon. She also discussed how federal policy affects her business.
