Larry Wilmore talked about his book I’d Rather We Got Casinos and Other Black Thoughts (Hyperion; January 20, 2009). The book contains his musings and ruminations, including the suggested abolition of Black History Month, letters to the NAACP, and a vision for the end of racism. Larry Wilmore is best known as the senior black correspondent on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.” A video clip of the show from January 27, 2009, was shown. He was interviewed on the C-SPAN Civics Bus and responded to telephone calls.
