President Obama, joined by representatives from groups pledging to cut the cost of health care, spoke to reporters about reducing the costs of health care through a competitive federal health care plan. He also praised the commitment that insurers, hospitals, doctors and others had made to saving money. The coalition that joined the president at the White House today advocated that $2 trillion could be saved over a decade by cutting annual costs through limits to the growth rate of health care. close
