British Prime Minister Gordon Brown answered questions from members of his party and the opposition. Questions focused on members' expenses, particularly with profits made from second homes. Parliamentary rules state that members are allowed to claim expenses for having two homes - one in their constituencies and one in London. But, according to several reports, some members profited from sales on their second homes, paid for with public money. Prime Minister Brown told members he supports an independent review into members' expenses. He also talked about the role of credit unions and affordable housing for young people. close
