He was responsible for the fortifications for Philadelphia and devised battle plans that led to the American victory at Saratoga. Following the war, Kosciuszko returned to Poland and became commander in chief of the Polish Army where he led a defense against a Russian invasion and later a revolt of Russian occupation in 1794. Mr. Storozynski accompanied his talk with slides. After his presentation, he responded to questions from members of the audience. The event was hosted by the Polish Embassy in Washington, D.C.
