In the third of several discussions at a day-long event titled, "Can We Put Poor Men to Work?", panelists focused on employment for men in poverty. They focused on low-skilled workers, particularly those who typically defaulted on child support and ex-offenders on parole.

Panelists spoke about government programs to address issues associated with poverty and employment, as well as challenges posed by unemployment among low-income men. Among the issues they addressed were education, health care, and welfare programs. They answered questions from the audience. close
