The Printers Row Book Fair was founded in 1985 by the Near South Planning Board in Chicago’s historic Printers Row neighborhood, once the center of bookmaking in the city. In 2002 the book fair was acquired by the Chicago Tribune and for 2009 was renamed the Printers Row Lit Fest.
