Pay to Play Elizabeth Brackett talked about her book Pay to Play: How Rod Blagojevich Turned Political Corruption Into a National Sideshow (Ivan R. Dee, Publisher; April 20, 2009). The book, focusing on the impeachment of Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich on charges such as attempting to sell Barack Obama’s soon-to-be-vacant Senate seat, traces the background of corruption in Illinois politics and its implications for state government executive branches across the country.
