Paul Buhle and Harvey Pekar talked about their book Studs Terkel’s Working: A Graphic Adaptation (New Press; May 1, 2009). They produced a selection from Stud Terkel’s collection of interviews, Working, first published in 1974, with illustrations by various artists. They discussed the book with Rick Kogan and Elizabeth Taylor, who both knew Mr. Terkel, who died October 31, 2008. Topics included how the book was produced, the life of Studs Terkel, and life, work, and the ordinary person. They also responded to questions from members of the audience.
