President Obama and President Lee Myung-bak of the Republic of Korea held a joint news conference. They spoke about a number of issues including North Korean nuclear development programs and trade issues.

Near the end of the news conference President Obama spoke about widespread protests of Iranian elections. He said that given the history of U.S. relations with Iran “it’s not productive” for the U.S. President “to be seen as meddling in Iranian elections,” adding that he did have “deep concerns about the election.” close
