Witnesses testified about draft legislation that would require all Americans to purchase health insurance and place new requirements on employers. They focused on business and consumer interest in health care reform, costs of health care, maintaining a competitive market, and the quality of health care under the proposal.

This was the third of three panels to examine a tri-committee plan to provide a public health care option. close
