Richard Umbdenstock talked about the announced agreement between the Obama Administration and U.S. hospitals to help curb spending for health care reform, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic correspondence. Hospitals across the U.S. have agreed to forego $155 billion in Medicare and Medicaid payments over 10 years in an effort to reform the system. A clip of Vice President Joe Biden’s announcement of the the agreement was shown.
