President Obama delivered remarks on health care reform at Children’s National Medical Center following a roundtable meeting with health care providers. He said the current system is “breaking American families” and the need to pass reform is “urgent.” He urged Congress to pass legislation by the end of the year. In his remarks he referenced comments made by South Carolina Senator Jim DeMint, who said that a defeat on health care reform could be the administration’s “Waterloo.” close
