2010 Pennsylvania Democratic Primary Senator Arlen Specter Specter and his Democratic primary rival Congressman Joe Sestak participated in a discussion moderated by Pennsylvania blogger Susie Madrak and Ari Melber of The Nation at the Netroots Nation conference, an annual gathering of progressive bloggers from around the country. The Congressman did not appear together in the program.
Senator Spector discussed his record in the Senate, including his switch earlier in April 2009 from Republican to Democrat. He also responded to questions from audience members. Other topics included climate change and health care legislation, stem cell research, and televising the U.S. Supreme Court.
Among the topics Congressman Sestak addressed were his qualifications for Senator and his support of the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) bill.
