Presidential Health Care Town Hall Meeting
President Obama spoke at a town hall meeting on health care in Grand Junction, Colorado. In his responses to questions from the audience he suggested that he might be willing to compromise on a public-option plan noting that it was only a “sliver” of the entire reform agenda. He had previously defended the public plan to control costs, expand coverage, protect consumers and make the delivery of health care more efficient. close
