The Obama Administration estimates a 10-year budget deficit at $9 trillion dollars, with the deficit for 2009 expected to be about $1.58 trillion. James Horney, who released a new analysis on the deficit, talked about the overall size of the deficit compared to previous years, how much of it is related to money spent under Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), and concerns over long-term deficits. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.

C-SPAN Radio’s Nancy Calo read headlines at the end of the program. close
