The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) held an open meeting. Among the issues addressed were innovation and investment in wireless technology, competition in the mobile wireless market, and consumer protection. They also talked about common business practices in a market dominated by four national carriers, including AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless. Commissioners voted unanimously to open an inquiry into the state of competition in the wireless industry. close
