Economic Outlook and Employment Martin Regalia and Randy Johnson briefed reporters and answered questions on current economic outlook and employment indicators. They predicted that the economy would continue to grow at a rate Of 2.5 to 3 percent through the first half of 2010 as the effects of the $787 billion stimulus package made its way through the economy. They warned, however, that unemployment would continue to be a long-term problem. close
