The Supreme Court heard oral argument in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. The case arose from a political documentary called Hillary: The Movie. The film’s producers lost a Federal Election Commission and lower court decision that prohibited them from distributing it on a video-on-demand service on grounds that it violated a McCain-Feingold ban on corporate money being used for electioneering.
