Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testified on a preparations for the 2009 pandemic flu season. In her remarks she talked about vaccine development noting that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved four different vaccines against H1N1 influenza virus. She also noted the federal government had ordered enough vaccine for an estimated 195 million doses, and approximately 45 million doses should be ready by mid-October for individuals in high-risk categories. close
