It is a biography of professional football player Pat Tillman who enlisted as a U.S. Army Ranger after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Mr. Tillman was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan in April of 2004. Mr. Krakauer talked about Pat Tillman’s life and character. He focused on the cover-up of the circumstances of his death and the propaganda uses that were made of Mr. Tillman. He also talked about his research, including spending time embedded in the Army in Afghanistan and the cooperation of the Tillman family. The guest interviewer was Sean Naylor.
