Bertha Lewis talked about ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), the grassroots organizing group, and congressional steps to investigate the group and stop federal funding for it. Earlier in the week, the House voted to end all federal funding for ACORN by a vote of 345-75, and the Senate voted 83-7 to stop HUD funding to ACORN. Ms. Lewis also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
