Michael Barone talked about The Almanac of American Politics 2010 (National Journal Group; September 14, 2009). He has been the co-author of this comprehensive political reference guide for thirty-eight years. The book profiles every member of Congress and every governor and offers an in-depth look at the politics of each of the fifty states and 435 House districts as well as other political and statistical information. He talked about the importance of geographical and historical perspective. He focused on the increasing voter turnout and enthusiasm in recent year and on the change from entrenched political positions to open-field strategic politics.
