Eric Etheridge talked about his book Breach of Peace: Portraits of the 1961 Mississippi Freedom Riders (Atlas; Reissue edition May 23, 2008). He delivered an audio/visual presentation on the history of the Mississippi Freedom Riders who worked to desegregate buses and trains and talked about their accomplishments, including in Tennessee. Freedom Rider Rip Patton provided commentary, including the training the protesters did. They responded to questions from members of the audience.

Eric Etheridge is a former editor for Rolling Stone, Harper’s, and The New York Observer.
