From the Hudson Institute in Washington, DC, a panel discussion on the life and work of Cold War strategist Herman Kahn. Mr. Kahn, believed to be one of the models for Stanley Kubrick’s “Dr. Strangelove,” worked at the RAND Corporation before co-founding the Hudson Institute in 1961. He was the author of several books, including “On Thermonuclear War” and “On Escalation.” Participating in the discussion are: Kenneth Weinstein, Hudson Institute CEO and co-editor of "The Essential Herman Kahn"; Gary Schmitt, resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute; and John Walters, Hudson Institute executive vice president. close
