President Obama made introductory remarks at the White House Tribal Nations Conference, and then, he answered a few questions from some of the participants. The conference includes leaders from the 564 federally-recognized tribes. In subsequent parts of the conference, other interactive discussions addressed such topics as economic development and natural resources; public safety and housing; and education, health, and labor and were led by representatives from the highest levels of the administration. close
