Former Governor Pete Wilson talked about his career. Topics included the transition from the presidency of Ronald Reagan to George H.W. Bush and his own races for president and governor. He also talked about the career of former Senator Robert Dole (R-KS), with whom he served in the Senate. Topics included Senator Dole’s emotional side and his intervention when an interpreter was injured during a congressional tour of the Great Wall of China.

This is the second of two parts of the interview, which was conducted by Brien Williams, historian and manager of oral history projects at the Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas. The location of this interview is not known. close
