Frank Aukofer talked about his book Never a Slow Day: Adventures of a 20th Century Newspaper Reporter (Marquette University Press; First edition (June 1, 2009).This is his account of 40 years of journalism during which he covered many historic events from the 1960s civil rights movement to the impeachment proceedings against Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. He is the retired Washington bureau chief of The Milwaukee Journal and its successor, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. A former resident of the National Press Club, he also talked about the work of the club and the future of journalism.
