Andre Schiffrin talked about the book he edited, Dr. Seuss & Co. Go To War: The World War II Editorial Cartoons of America’s Leading Comic Artists (The New Press; October 6, 2009). The book presents a collection of political cartoons from the pages of New York’s former daily newspaper, PM, which published from 1940-1948. This sequel to Dr. Seuss Goes to War: The World War II Editorial Cartoons of Theodor Seuss Geisel (New Press; October 1999) presents additional cartoons by Mr. Geisel as well as work by other artists, including Al Hirschfeld and Saul Steinberg.
