On November 21, 1989, the British House of Commons first televised its proceedings. This program includes portions of the House of Commons debate from that day on the decision to allow TV cameras to broadcast their session as well as debate on the Queen’s speech which took place earlier that morning. The program also included a recent interview with Peter Knowles of BBC Parliament Television as well as Author and British TV Producer Michael Cockerell who provided C-SPAN commentary of the session in 1989. close
