Senator Carl Levin, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, held a press conference on his recent trip to Afghanistan and Pakistan. He met with Pakistani political and military leaders, and in Kabul with Afghan President Karzai and his ministers, International Security Assistance Force Commander General Stanley McChrystal, and U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Karl Eikenberry. He also met with Lieutenant General Caldwell, Commander of the NATO Training Mission - Afghanistan at Camp Eggers, and Lieutenant General David Rodriguez, Commander of the ISAF Joint Command. close
