Thomas Hoenig talked about his concerns over a proposal by Senate Banking Committee Chair Christopher Dodd that would create a single regulator to oversee banks, a role current administered by several bodies including Federal Reserve regional banks. He believes oversight within the current structure of regulators can work as long as clear standards of governance are set by Congress. Mr. Hoenig also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. close
