Top White House economic advisers testified on the fiscal 2011 budget and economic outlook. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said that the worst days for the U.S. economy are “behind us” but warned that unemployment would remain at elevated levels for an extended period of time. He also warned that U.S. debt levels are unsustainable in the long term. close
