Alan Brinkley talked about his book The Publisher: Henry Luce and His American Century (Knopf; April 20, 2010). Henry Luce was only 24-years old when he published the first issue of Time magazine. He went on to found Life and Sports Illustrated, as well as many other publications. Professor Alan Brinkley discussed the life of Henry Luce during an interview at the annual historians conference. The 102nd annual meeting of the Organization of American Historians was held Wednesday, April 7 to Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the Hilton Washington. close
