The panelists were: Miriam Pawel, The Union of Their Dreams: Power, Hope, and Struggle in Cesar Chavez’s Farm Worker Movement (Bloomsbury Press; October 13, 2009); Martha Sandweiss, Passing Strange: A Gilded Age Tale of Love and Deception Across the Color Line (Penguin Press; February 5, 2009); and Amy Louise Wood, Lynching and Spectacle: Witnessing Racial Violence in America, 1890-1940 (The University of North Carolina Press; March 26, 2009).
