Panelists spoke about physical and mental health issues facing military personnel. Lory Manning spoke about the history of women in the military and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), noting that since the start of the conflict in Afghanistan and Iraq about 200,000 women have been deployed into combat. She also talked about the difficulties faced by women trying to prove PTSD. Other panelists talked about the care of military soldiers and changes in standards of care, particularly for brain injuries and PTSD. They answered questions from the audience. close
