Witnesses testified about the April 20, 2010 explosion and eventual sinking of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. They focused on the vessel’s condition, crew qualifications, emergency preparedness, and casualty timeline.

Chad Murray, chief electrician on the Deepwater Horizon, testified about his recollections of the explosion and his escape from the rig.
