Officials testified about the international an regional security threats posed by Hezbollah, including its role in Lebanon and support it receives from Syria and Iran. They said that the Obama administration viewed Hezbollah as a major threat to the interests of Lebanon, the United States, Israel, as well as the broader Middle East. Among the issues they addressed were the group’s terrorist activities, efforts to cut off financing and illicit arms sales, as well as diplomatic efforts to isolate challenges to regional security. close
