President Obama spoke to a reporters following a meeting with BP executives. In his remarks he announced that BP had agreed to set aside $20 billion to pay for damages as a result of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, as well as a separate $100 million fund to compensate oil workers who became unemployed as a result of the spill. close
