Panelists talked about the use of technology to secure borders and reduce illegal immigration. They focused on the SBI net, a high tech program aimed at using advanced detection technologies to secure the borders. They also spoke about delays and cost overruns that have derailed the project. Other topics included the use of biometrics to track illegal immigrants and terrorists and ways in which technology could be employed in the future. They responded to questions from the audience.
