Tom Pauken talked about his book Bringing America Home: How America Lost Her Way and How We Can Find Our Way Back (Chronicles Press/The Rockford Institute, 2010). The former state chairman of the Texas Republican Party presented his thoughts on what he deems are the greatest problems that America currently faces, from the economy to cultural values, and gave his plans to solve these issues. Mr. Pauken also argued that former President George Bush wasted a great amount of “political capital” that was generated by conservatives who supported Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. He also responded to questions from members of the audience at the Seventeenth Annual Eagle Forum Collegians Leadership Summit. The annual conference that brings together conservative speakers, authors and college students was held at The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. close
