Mobilizing the Urban Blogosphere
Panelists from Urban, Hip-hop and Entertainment websites discussed the ways in which urban bloggers helped elect President Obama and how they can organize readers for political action. A big focus of this panel was how bloggers for organizations that are not overtly political, and instead have a music, culture, or entertainment focus, can add politics to their sites and encourage readers to follow politics on local and national levels. They responded to questions from the audience. close
