Obama Administration Speeches and Rhetoric
“Speechwriters Meet Scholars: Presidential Rhetoric in the Age of Obama” was a session of the annual meeting of the American Political Science Association at the Washington Hilton.
Political speechwriters and other communications professionals talked about the rhetoric used by President Obama in his public speeches. Among the topics they addressed were the speech writing process, public perceptions of presidential speeches, and the uses of different forms of political rhetoric. Following their remarks they answered questions from the audience.
