Senator Arlen Specter, a member of the Appropriations Committee, talked about Defense Secretary Gates' plan for cutting $100 billion in defense spending over the next five years. Other topics included the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, cameras in the Supreme Court, and the extension of tax cuts made during the George W. Bush administration. Senator Specter also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
