Gerald R. Ford's Early Years
Former President Ford’s son Steven and half-brother Richard shared their memories of youth and family life with the man who would become vice president and president of the United States without having been elected to either position. Dick Ford talked about his early life, how his education contributed to his presidency, and memories of them growing up together. Steve Ford shared stories of his father over the years. They talked with Rick Albin, as a slide show featuring never-seen-before photographs from the Ford family photo albums played above. The event, co-sponsored by the Ford Presidential Foundation, was held in conjunction with the Ford Presidential Museum’s feature exhibit “From School House to White House: The Education of the Presidents.” close
