North Korean Foreign Affairs Vice Minister Pak Kil Yon Remarks Vice-Foreign Minister Pak Kil Yon told the General Assembly in New York that Northeast Asia had remained tense following the sinking of the South Korean naval ship Cheonan in March. He also accused the U.S. of being a ‘disruptor of peace’ in the region. He further said his country remained steadfastly opposed to nuclear war, nuclear arms race and nuclear proliferation despite allegations that it was pursuing a nuclear weapons program. close
