President Obama spoke briefly to reporters about an incident in which several suspicious packages were found on board cargo airplanes in Dubai and Great Britain. The packages were traced to flights originating in Yemen. He also said he had directed U.S. intelligence, law and Homeland Security agencies to take steps to ensure American safety and determine whether the suspicious package threat is part of terrorist plotting. close
