Hugh Pope talked about his book Dining with al-Qaeda: Three Decades Exploring the Many Worlds of the Middle East. In his book the former Middle East correspondent for the Wall Street Journal recounts his modern-day explorations, mined from more than three decades, of the politics, religion, and aspirations of Muslim peoples to show how the Middle East is more than a monolithic “Islamic world.”

He was interviewed at the 33rd Annual National Press Club Book Fair and Authors' Night, a fundraiser for the Eric Friedheim National Journalism Library and The SEED Foundation held Tuesday, November 9, 2010, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. close
