Report on Don't Ask, Don't Tell Policy Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mike Mullen, and officials tasked with conducting a study on military attitudes toward service by openly gay and lesbian personnel briefed reporters on the results their survey on the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.
