A memorial service was held for Carla Cohen, founder and co-owner of Washington DC’s Politics and Prose Bookstore, who died Monday, October 11, 2010, at the age of 74. Ms. Cohen started the bookstore in 1984. The speakers at her memorial included Barbara Meade, co-owner of Politics and Prose, Mark LaFromboise, staff member of Politics and Prose and authors Howard Norman, Mary Kay Zuravleff, Seymour Hersh, Alexander Zapruder, E.J. Dionne, and Phyllis Theroux. close
